Apparently building a two-story tall snowman called Snowzilla isn’t always the best way to spread neighborly love and joy.

“When you get 20 people out there in their cars, now the whole street comes to a stop and nobody can get through,” said Anthony Bahler, who can see Snowzilla from his front window. “They just stand out there, in the middle of road, talking about a snowman.”

Bahler’s neighbor, Billy Powers, has built Snowzilla each of the last two years, with this year’s incarnation topping out at 22 feet. Drawing camera crews and spectators from around the world, it remains to be seen if his own popularity is Snowzilla’s ultimate demise.
