Strange Search Terms From Readers: “Can a Dog Weigh 1000 Pounds?”
January 14th, 2007 by The Brewmaster

Dear Reader,
If so, keep it the hell away from me.
Seriously, though, do you really think a dog could possibly weigh 1000 pounds? Assuming you’re a normal-sized person yourself, that’s like 5 or 6 yous. In a single dog. That weighs 1000 pounds.
The English Mastiff is considered the world’s heaviest dog, but according to Guinness the largest recorded Mastiff topped out at about 350 pounds.
So you’d basically have to somehow multiply that by three to get to the magical 1000 pound mark. Not bloody likely.
