Was there ever a time when people read — and followed — warning labels? If there was, it’s surely an anachronism now. Because of liability concerns we’re so inundated by warning labels on everything that they just go unnoticed these days.

Case in point, this cigarette pack holder from Japan:

Notice in big bold letters it says on the side, “SMOKING CAUSES HEART DISEASE,” yet it gleefully dispenses packs of smokes as if to say, “Smoke ‘em if you got ‘em.” Oh those funny Japanese.
