Clavamox
Clavamox is a prescription antibiotic that contains semi-synthetic
penicillin (amoxicillin). It is commonly used in both dogs and cats to
treat skin and soft tissue infections such as wounds, abscesses,
periodontal infections, and cellulitis. Clavamox also contains potassium
clavulanate and sulbactam with are added to reduce the inactivation of
penicillin by bacteria. If no response is seen after 5 days of treatment,
therapy should be discontinued.
